    • Dec. 1976 to Febr. 1978: Civil Service at a Church in Frankfurt
    • April 1987 to May 1986: Medicine Studies at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University in   Frankfurt/Main
    • 1986 Approbation (License) and MD
    • June 1986 to Dec. 1986: Resident Klinik am Hainberg, Bad Hersfeld (Psychosomatic)
    • Jan. 1987 to June 1990: Resident Städtisches Krankenhaus Frankfurt/Main-Hoechst (Neurology)
    • July 1990 to Aug. 1993: Resident Elisabethenstift Darmstadt (Psychiatry)
    • Sept. 1993 to March 2002: Director Salus Klinik Friedrichsdorf (Inpatient addiction and psychosomatic treatment)
    • April 2002 to Febr. 2007: Director Psychosomatic Department Klinik Havelhoehe/Berlin (the first Schema Theapy based inpatient treatment unit worldwide)
    • Since 2007 Private Practice and Director of the Schema Therapy Institute- Frankfurt (the first in Germany)

    • Psychiatrist (since 1993)
    • Psychosomatic Medicine (since 1997)
    • CBT-Supervisor (since 1996)
    • Schema Therapy Trainer und Supervisor (since 2008 – the first in Germany)
    • Member of the ISST-Board since its foundation in 2008
    • ISST-President from 2014 to 2016
    • Currently ISST treasurer

    Activities:

    • Ongoing lectures and training workshops in Schema Therapy since 2009 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy on a regular basis and occasionally in the USA, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Iran and Finland.
