ISST certified Individual Schema Therapy training

About this training:
We offer a 40 h online training in individual Schematherapy covering the full module content according to the ISST training guidelines. Keeping the integrative spirit of Jeffrey Young alive, we include Porgues Polyvagal theory as well as a contextual (or 3rd wave therapy) perspective integrating some aspects i.e. of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) e.g. mindful observer stance. This leads to a more detailed understanding, what a Healthy Adult mode is actually doing, a very flexible therapy relationship (i.e offering a second layer of cooperation on the standig-up level) and a very intimate connection with the emotional parts of the clients including body representations and finally to a good balance between striving for change and acceptance. This makes your therapies very intensive, but safe – for your clients and yourself. While this maintains the essence of Schematherapy, it takes you to the cutting edge of emerging therapeutic developments. The training is offered in 2 h – bits on a weekly basis making an integration into your working day possible. This also helps to apply the new knowlede step by step making it part of your daily work routine over a longer time. We practice in supervised dyads in breakout rooms and the sessions will be recorded in case you miss a session. Matias Valtente PhD. Psychological Psychotherapist | Certified Schema Therapist (advanced, Trainer & Supervisor ISST certification). Psychology studies (1997-2002) at the Universidad del Salvador (Buenos Aires), majoring in Clinical Psychology.
Research assistant at the Department of General Psychology. Doctorate in Human Sciences (Dr. sc. hum.) at the Medical Faculty of the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg (2009-2015). Dissertation topic: Disorder-specific knowledge in patients with BPD.
Eckhard Roediger M.D. born 1959, neurologist, psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Trained in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavior therapy.
